These are things patients often ask us about. Is there anything else you would like an answer to? You can always contact us - we will respond as quickly as we can.
Everyone must have blood tests for HIV, Hepatitis B and C+ antibodies to rubella (women only) before treatment can be started. This is to ensure that there is no infection of and/or between embryos (regulations). These blood samples must be analyzed at a laboratory approved for infection testing for assisted fertilization.
In the case of a long protocol (Synarela nasal spray), you should have had a bleeding before the start of hormone injections. If this one is missing, you have to call us. The options are to wait a few days, possibly delay treatment 1 week, or do an ultrasound to clarify the problem. And if you have had bleeding and is on a long protocol, you may want to call a few days later (e.g. if it starts during the weekend).
You pay via online banking before coming to the clinic. All details are described on the contract that you sign. Sometimes, unfortunately, IVF treatment is interrupted before or after egg extraction. If IVF treatment is interrupted before the egg is taken, we have a separate price for this.
You may want to contact your pharmacist early. Not every pharmacy has these medicines inside. However, pharmacies should be able to obtain the medicines until the next day. If you do not live in the “big cities” it is important to keep this in mind. All of our prescriptions are reiterated; this means that you can reuse the prescription if you need more medicine. Keep in mind that more people will have to take medication longer than Friday. Some may also need to increase the dose. Since one goes into the weekend with closed pharmacies one should be lead var.
