Police certificate — certificate of care.

Couples and singles who are going to take the Fertility Check or who are going to undergo assisted fertilization treatment must present a police certificate - so-called child care certificate. You can easily apply for this by going to the police website.

Note: Single men or women who want to take the “Fertility check — for those who want to check status” do not need to present a police certificate.

• Select “Police certificate — search digitally”
• Press “Search police certificate or check status”
• Login with BankID
• Category: “Adoption and Assisted Fertilization”
• Purpose: “Assisted fertilization — application to the Norwegian authorities”
• Press “send”

It can take up to three weeks for the certificate to be ready, so it's a good idea to submit the application urgently.
