What is Irregular Menstruation? There are hormones that regulate the menstrual cycle. If the interaction of hormones with the ovaries is out of balance, you can have irregular menstruation. Irregular menstruation is not the same as bleeding that comes randomly between a menstrual cycle.
It is common for women to have menstruation four weeks apart. That is, four weeks from menstrual bleeding to the next. It is also common with both longer and shorter time between bleeding. Especially young women experience having irregular menstruation. In the first 5-6 years, this is relatively common. As the woman gets older, ovulation is often more regular.
There are many things that affect menstruation. Factors such as diet, general condition, stress and worries can affect menstruation. Low weight and a lot of exercise can also affect the menstrual cycle. If you have a good track record of your periods, you do not necessarily need to see a doctor. If it is not clear to you what is a menstruation and what is an accidental bleeding, then you should consult a doctor or gynecologist.
