Details in a modern laboratory

On February 13, VG had a series of articles stating that there have been incorrect responses to some AMH tests that have been done in recent years. Since this test has been used by us, we feel it is important to shed light on how the responses to such a hormone test are used.

As part of the investigation, a number of factors are used to determine the best possible treatment plan, including age, any previous treatments, antral follicle count and blood test results. AMH is one of the hormones being tested, and the result of it can give an early indication of the course of treatment. It will nevertheless be seen in the context of everything else being examined, and will never alone be able to say what treatment should be done. For example, if you have had a low AMH result but many antral follicles, then it is the number of follicles that is most important. The woman is more than a blood test, and it is the whole couple that is being investigated. This is why we want you to come for a new interview, even if you have been to treatment before.

The AMH test alone has not, and will not, form the basis for whether one receives treatment or not.

So if you want a full inquiry, please contact us for a new interview. We will still measure AMH, but as a small part of the whole.
