Male infertility is a condition that affects couples when the man cannot produce healthy sperm. There are many causes of male infertility, some still unknown. However, several leading causes are well understood. The most common cause of male infertility is abnormal sperm morphology. This means that the sperm are irregular and cannot move properly.

Other causes of male infertility include low sperm count, poor sperm motility, and poor sperm quality. In addition to these physical factors, several lifestyle choices can contribute to male infertility. For example, smoking, drinking alcohol, and drug use can affect sperm production and quality.

In addition, obesity and a sedentary lifestyle can also cause problems with fertility. If you experience difficulty getting pregnant, you should talk to your doctor about your options. Many treatments are available for male infertility, and most cases can be treated successfully.

Male infertility is a condition that affects about one in 20 men. There are many different causes of male infertility, but some of the most common include:

  • Poor sperm quality or quantity
  • Blockages or damage to the seminal ducts
  • Infections such as chlamydia and gonorrhea
  • Retrograde ejaculation
  • Erectile Dysfunction
