Klinikk Hausken has now gained over one year of experience using EmbryoScope™, and is still the only clinic in Norway with this equipment. EmbryoScope™ is a combined incubator, camera and computer, which means that the embryos lie undisturbed in the incubator while providing us with a lot of additional information about the development of the embryos. Instead of 3-4 observation times using a conventional incubator, we now get an image of the embryo every 20 minutes. Not only are the embryos allowed to develop with the least amount of stress, but we also have the opportunity to monitor embryo development more closely.

The idea behind the use of EmbryoScope™ is that the less stress the embryo is exposed to, the better the opportunity it has to develop; while more information about embryo development allows one to choose the best one. Our results show that this works, and Klinikk Hausken therefore invested in another EmbryoScope™ in February. This gives us the opportunity to offer this treatment to almost all of our couples.
By reviewing the information we have received from EmbryoScope over the course of this year, we have also developed a separate timeline of development that is used in addition to looking at what the embryos look like. We are confident that this will help make our already good results even better in the future.
